What is Boxercise?

Boxercise is exercise based on the training concepts boxers use to keep fit and it can be in a variety of forms, for example: shadow boxing, skipping, hitting pads, punching bags, press-ups, shuttle runs and sit-ups.

Benefits of boxercise

1. Destress

Although there is no physical contact, it enables you to release your stress by channelling your aggression.

2. Improved Co-ordination

During boxercise you focus your energy and concentration enabling you to feel more in control of your body which improves your co-ordination, and you become more confident in protecting yourself if you are required to. Other benefits include increasing your discipline and focus.

3. Improving body composition

It conditions and strengthens your shoulders, back arms, core and abs as well as your legs, as it incorporates exercises that involve whole body movements.

4. Calorie-torching

Cardiovascular where you burn more calories in an hour than your typical cardio at the gym. Great way to get fit and keep fit, or lose weight. Whatever your goal is, boxercise is a great session to include in your training schedule.
