Trying a new sport, especially a team sport, will help you to meet new people that share your same mindset enriching your social life.

Trying something new will challenge yourself, leaving behind what’s familiar. A new routine will stimulate you not only physically but mentally too, making you more confident in life and ready to take on new challenges in life such as trying a new job, working harder and the new skills learned will make you grow as a person.

From a physical point of view, it is always beneficial to stimulate the body in new ways; training new skills can give great results and will avoid plateau as well as helping to address imbalances and weaknesses.  If you’re looking for inspiration why not look at all the national and international competitions that happen around the world throughout the year. This February we’ve got the Winter Olympics, Six Nations and World Track Cycling Championships so you’ve got plenty to take inspiration from.

Just as it is important to have a varied diet, it is important to enjoy varied physical activity too.
