Successful gym projects
Over the last 20 years, we have designed, installed and delivered hundreds of successful gym design projects in the UK and around the world.
Residential gym design
High-end developments need gym facilities to match. Creating the right first impression with your gym design is critical in attracting residents.
Case study – taking residential development to new heights
Nine Elms Point is a flagship development for Barratt Homes. motive8 took on the challenge of designing stunning on-site facilities that would set the development apart.
Split over two levels, the gym is a bright, double height space and offers everything its users could want from a workout space right on their doorstep.
Corporate and workplace gyms
Create a space that will boost employee productivity and give your organisation a competitive edge to attract talent.
Case study – new gym and studio complete with living wall for employees to access 24/7
With many employees back working around the clock the option to work-out at any hour during the day was a key factor when planning this new space. This London based corporate client commissioned motive8 to provide consultancy services across all areas for their new leisure facility.
“Working with this corporate client was an absolute pleasure from start to finish and I look forward to the continued relationship as we look to enhance their wellbeing offer through the various fitness services and workshops that we are offering”.
Rob Clarke, Director, motive8
Student accommodation is increasingly a competitive market. Design your gym facilities to motivate and meet the needs of student users.
Case study – bright, motivating on-site gym
motive8 transformed the existing gym space at Tufnell House, North London, into a stylish, light and modern workout facility.
Each exercise zone has been clearly defined within the gym space, offering students a comprehensive, full-body workout in a spacious, uncluttered layout.
The extensive renovation and clever gym design help to make the accommodation the ultimate student living experience.
Turn a spare room, garage or garden building into your own private gym.
Case study – bespoke, functional home gym
We helped to convert an external annexe, adjoining an existing double garage into a bespoke home gym.
The ultimate goal of this project was to create a gym that incorporated a wide range of functional and cardio gym equipment that didn’t feel cramped or too masculine and can be used by the whole family.
We made the most of the existing space that already offered lots of natural light and oak wooden flooring. We were able to focus straight away on the right equipment and layout of the space.
Commercial gym design
Make your gym facilities stand out with unique features and the latest in gym design innovation and trends.
Case study – new fitness, wellbeing and lifestyle concept
Supersonic Fitness in York is the first lifestyle facility of its kind advancing the concepts of fitness and wellbeing, lifestyle and social interaction.
The gym design brings together the best of lighting, clever use of gym space and natural plant life.
The floor to ceiling windows create a beautiful atmosphere where people want to hang out with friends. The gym maximises use of space. The ceiling mounted rig, for example, is brilliantly designed to allow the space underneath to be utilised when the rig is not in use.
