STUDENT CASE STUDY
WOODLAND COURT

Dual machines and interactive cardio make best use of space for student gym
Woodland Court was another installation for Greystar Student Living as part of a large portfolio of sites they acquired in 2015. Following the completion of the flooring and artwork by the client, motive8 was asked to design the gym layout and supply all equipment, all on a very short lead time which we were able to fulfil. Following the spec of other similar gyms we had installed, we opted for fully interactive Star Trac cardio equipment, which offers both internet and TV touch screen access. The three treadmills and cross trainer were complemented by two spinning bikes, an Octane fitness elliptical and a Concept2 rowing machine.
For strength training, we opted for a dual adjustable pulley and a selection of dual resistance machines, which each perform two key muscle exercises. These were complemented by two multi adjustable benches and a space-saving dumbbell set sat on loose lay free weight flooring. There is also a small functional training area with medicine balls, a Swiss ball and a selection of kettlebells. motive8 also supplied the water machine and stretching and etiquette signage.
